Mouhamed Dioubate, 4-star 2023 PF from New York, announces SEC commitment

Mouhamed Dioubate is headed south to play in the SEC. The blue-chip power forward from New York announced his commitment to Alabama on Sunday.
Dioubate narrowed his 17 scholarship offers down to Alabama, Maryland, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest for Sunday’s announcement, which was live on YouTube.
The commitment comes just over a week after Dioubate was in Tuscaloosa for a visit.

Dioubate, from Flushing, New York, is listed at 6-7, 215 pounds. On the 247Sports composite rankings, Dioubate is rated 4-stars, the No. 3 New York product, No. 20 power forward and No. 89 prospect overall nationally in the class of 2023. Bryan Hodgson led Alabama’s recruitment of Dioubate.
With Dioubate in the 2023 class, Nate Oats’ staff now has 4 commitments in Alabama’s 2023 recruiting class. Dioubate is the highest-rated of the 4 Crimson Tide pledges. UA also has commitments from PF Sam Walters (No. 109 overall), SG Davin Cosby (No. 114) and CG R.J. Johnson (unrated on 247Sports Composite).
