Multiple SEC teams make top 50 of Collegiate Baseball Poll

The SEC is one of the most dominant conferences in college baseball year in. and year out, so it’s not surprising that multiple teams made it into the top 50 of the Collegiate Baseball Poll, released for Dec. 20, 2022.

Those teams are as follows:

• 1. LSU
• 2. Florida
• 4. Texas A&M
• 5. Tennessee
• 7. Arkansas
• 9. Vanderbilt
• 22. Mississippi State
• 24. Ole Miss
• 37. Auburn
• 39. Georgia
• 47. South Carolina
• 49. Alabama

The past two national title winners in college baseball have both been teams in Mississippi, with the Ole Miss Rebels coming away with the championship victory most recently and the Mississippi State Bulldogs coming up with their first ever national title in any sport the previous year.

It will be interesting to see how things play out for both of these teams and how the rankings continue to shake out once the season gets underway.
