Tennessee has a huge game on tap this afternoon, as it heads to No. 17 Pittsburgh.

The No. 24 Volunteers will be shorthanded on defense for the game, however.

Per a KnoxNews.com report, Tennessee will be without linebackers Juwan Mitchell and Kwauze Garland, as well as reserve cornerback Dee Williams.

It will be the 2nd missed game for Mitchell, who was also out for last week’s 59-10 win over Ball State.

As for Mitchell’s status, Tennessee coach Josh Heupel has not clarified anything specific beyond the fact that Mitchell is injured.

Mitchell transferred to Tennessee from Texas before last season. He dealt with shoulder injuries most of last season but is expected to be a key contributor when healthy.

The Vols and Panthers are set for a 3:30 p.m. (ET) kick off this afternoon. The game will be televised by ABC and Tennessee is a 6-point road favorite.
