Mykel Williams receives injury update ahead of clash vs. Alabama, per report

Mykel Williams has been listed as questionable this past week for Georgia’s top 5 clash against Alabama Saturday night. The uber-athletic pass lineman suffered an ankle sprain during Week 1’s win over Clemson and has missed time ever since.
According to ESPN’s Pete Thamel, Williams is now considered a “true gametime decision” for tonight’s game. Thamel also noted in the thread under the below post that if Williams does play it will be on a limited basis.
Sources: Georgia star defensive lineman Mykel Williams is a gametime decision for the No. 2 Bulldogs at No. 4 Alabama today. It’s considered a “true gametime decision” with his injured ankle. He’s Mel Kiper Jr.’s No. 4 overall NFL Draft prospect. pic.twitter.com/egRcNvi8gS

Georgia is being overly (yet necessarily) careful with Williams here. Being Mel Kiper’s No. 4 Draft prospect as stated above, his future is worth a lot of money. Tonight’s game is massive, but he’s not going to risk serious injury with that guaranteed paycheck in his future.
Obviously, putting more pressure on Milroe is the ultimate goal. The dual-threat Heisman candidate has been lights out this season and made serious progress as a passer this past offseason. Milroe has thrown for 590 yards and 8 touchdowns with 0 interceptions so far this season, adding 156 rushing yards and 6 rushing touchdowns.
Georgia’s D-line is nasty with or without Williams. Time will tell if he straps up tonight for what could be the biggest game of the regular season.
