Myles Garrett is in the middle of another game-wrecking season for the Cleveland Browns, and he carved out a place in NFL history for himself on Sunday.

Entering the game against the Miami Dolphins, Garrett had 12 sacks on the season. With 2 more against the Dolphins, Garrett now has 14 and is tied with Trey Hendrickson for the NFL lead. It is also Garrett’s 4th straight season with at least 14 sacks, setting a new NFL record.

In the process, Garrett is also just the 3rd player in NFL history with 5+ seasons of 13+ sacks in their first 8 season (Reggie White, TJ Watt). Garrett compiles his latest record just one week removed from surpassing 100 career sacks, becoming the first player since 1982 to reach the plateau before his 29th birthday.

Garrett has a shot at back-to-back Defensive Player of the Year awards and another first-team All-Pro honor. He has been a first-team All-Pro in 3 of the last 4 seasons. The former Texas A&M star needs 2 more sacks to tie his career-high of 16 sacks that he set in 2021 and 2022.

Garrett is already Cleveland’s franchise leader in career sacks and has produced a truly dominant career to this point.
