Josh Dobbs earned a ton of recognition for his incredible performance against Atlanta Sunday afternoon.
Dobbs, after being traded from Arizona on Tuesday, suited up for the Vikings after starter Jaren Hall went down with an injury. He then led a game-winning touchdown drive while HC Kevin O’Connell translated the play calls to a signal Dobbs could understand.
According to reports out of the locker room, Dobbs had never even taken a rep with the Vikings first-team heading into the game.
On Monday, the NASA Glenn Research Center made a post praising Dobbs for his fantastic game. Dobbs studied Aerospace Engineering at Tennessee and is a certified rocket scientist.
The research center even advertised a nickname that’s been going around for Dobbs: “The Passtronaut.”
Congratulations @josh_dobbs1 on yesterday’s big win! Looks like you rock(et) on and off the field. We heard you’ve even got a new nickname, the “Passtronaut.” If the suit fits, wear it.? pic.twitter.com/Pah3MuQsWs

The former Vol has never had the weapons that he has in Minnesota across his journeyman NFL career. Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison and TJ Hockenson make up a dangerous Vikings WR corps, and Dobbs thrived with that talent around him despite his inexperience with the offense.
He finished Sunday’s game with 158 passing yards to go alongside 2 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He also rushed for 66 yards and a touchdown.
