Nate Noel spent the 2024 season at Mizzou after a standout career for App State. Now, the star running back is headed to the 2025 NFL Draft, he confirmed in a note on social media.
Noel began his career as a member of the 2020 recruiting class at App State, following on the heels of Eli Drinkwitz‘s 2019 season and departure to Mizzou. He had 510 yards as a true freshman before leading the Sun Belt with 1,126 yards as a sophomore.
After a pair of seasons failed to reach 900 yards rushing following 2021, Noel hit the portal and joined Drinkwitz with the Tigers for the 2024 season. The running back would appear in 11 games while leading the team with 818 rushing yards but just 3 touchdowns.
Now, he’s heading to the 2025 NFL Draft:
“My time at Appalachian State and the University of Missouri has been nothing short of incredible. From the first day I stepped on campus in Boone to my final game as a Tiger, I’ve grown both as a player and as a person,” wrote Nate Noel.
“… I’m excited to bring my passion, work ethic, and determination to whatever team I land at. Thank you to everyone who has supported me along the way.”
Noel’s best game as a Tiger came with 199 yards rushing while averaging 8.3 yards per carry in a win over Vanderbilt. He also had 150 yards rushing and his final touchdown in the dramatic loss to South Carolina in November.
