Nate Noel is “trending toward” being able to play on Saturday against Auburn, according to a report.
That news was first shared by 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz on Friday afternoon. The talented Mizzou running back was listed as questionable on the latest SEC availability report that was released on Thursday evening.
Per Zenitz, things are now trending in a positive direction:
Missouri standout running back Nate Noel, who has been listed as questionable this week, is currently trending toward being able to play vs. Auburn tomorrow, sources tell @247Sports/@CBSSports.

Noel is a huge part of Missouri’s offense. He’s been the program’s leading rusher this season with 471 yards despite not playing last weekend in the win over UMass. He’s averaged 6 yards per carry and has twice gone over the century mark — against Vanderbilt and Boston College — so far this season.
Noel is in his first year with Mizzou since transferring in from App State this past offseason. He’s rushed for over 3,500 yards in his career entering this weekend’s game against Auburn.
Marcus Carroll has also been very effective out of Mizzou’s backfield this season. With Noel sidelined last week, Carroll rushed for 91 yards and 3 touchdowns on just 15 attempts vs. the Minutemen.
Mizzou will release an updated availability report on Friday evening at approximately 8 p.m. ET.
Missouri and Auburn will kick off at 12 p.m. ET on Saturday afternoon.
