It’s time to celebrate for Will Muschamp and South Carolina.
The nation’s No. 1 SDE Zacch Pickens committed to the Gamecocks over Georgia and a host of other top programs. Pickens is a 5-star prospect and ranked as the nation’s No. 14 overall prospect and the state of South Carolina’s No. 1 player for 2019, according to 247Sports Composite Rankings.
The 6-foot-5, 268-pound end has kept things quiet for the last several months, but he finally went public Friday following his high school team’s spring football game. Pickens and his mother were surrounded by teammates when he made his commitment.
