Nation’s No. 1 OT Nicholas Petit-Frere commits to Ohio State over Florida, Alabama

Urban Meyer continues to have recruiting success in the Sunshine State.

The latest example of this comes with the commitment of Tampa five-star offensive lineman Nicholas Petit-Frere. Petit-Frere had been considered a Florida lean by many but considering he kept his recruitment very close to the vest, his decision is not a complete surprise. His final visit was to Columbus, which could have played a factor in his final decision.

The five-star from Berkeley Prep in Tampa announced his decision during a ceremony at his high school Wednesday morning, his decision was also nationally broadcast on ESPNU. 247Sports Composite Rankings list Petit-Frere as the nation’s No. 1 offensive tackle prospect.
