The nation’s No. 1 player, dual-threat QB Justin Fields (Kennesaw, Ga.), has arrived for his official visit at Alabama, he announced on Twitter.

The Crimson Tide plays Ole Miss Saturday night at 9:00 pm ET, and Bryant-Denny Stadium will be a madhouse.

And Fields will be there to take it all in.

Since decommitting from Penn State in early June, Fields has been a top priority for several teams. Auburn, Georgia and Florida State have been mentioned among the most popular teams, with LSU also being a player for him.

Alabama is loaded at the QB position, with Jalen Hurts returning next year. Not to mention, Tua Tagovailoa looks like he has a big future, too. So, it’s interesting that Fields is using one of his official visits to Alabama.

Of course, landing talent has never been a problem for Nick Saban, and elite players aren’t afraid to compete for playing time either.
