Nation’s top prospect arrives for weekend recruiting visit to Tuscaloosa
Kayvon Thibodeaux must be pretty serious about his interest in Alabama as the Los Angeles native flew to Birmingham late Thursday night for an unofficial weekend visit to Tuscaloosa this weekend. Because it’s an unofficial visit, Alabama is not permitted to pay for the California natives trip, so he paid his own way for the visit.
Rated as a five-star prospect and the No. 1 overall recruit in the nation by 247Sports Composite Rankings, Thibodeaux has his choice of any program in the country to join. The 6-foot-5, 235-pound defensive lineman currently holds offers from nearly every Power 5 program. But it’s not just Alabama he’s interested in, he’s visited LSU, Florida from the SEC as well this spring.
Despite those recent trips, Thibodeaux seemed pretty anxious to share his travel plans to Tuscaloosa with his Twitter followers:
