NC State tight end Justin Joly has been a key contributor for the Wolfpack offense throughout the season, as he entered Saturday with 30 catches for 264 yards and three touchdowns.

During the game against Pittsburgh on Saturday, the Wolfpack drew up a trick play where quarterback CJ Bailey threw the ball backwards to freshman wide receiver Teddy Hoffman. Hoffman looked down field, and hit Joly on a pass that he took 59 yards for a touchdown.

However, what made the play even more impressive was the fact that Joly suffered an injury in the middle of the play, and had to limp into the end zone before being caught by the Pitt defense.

Here’s a clip:

For the first time in his career, Jolly went over 100 yards. While he suffered the injury, he was later seen working on a bike on the sideline.

Jolly has scored many touchdowns during his collegiate career, but very few of them have had been as difficult and exciting as that.
