It seems as though the NCAA feels one rule change for next season was made in haste.
The NCAA Football Rules Committee requested a delay in the implementation of a rule change that permits the use of electronic devices for coaching purposes.
The NCAA Playing Rules Oversight Committee approved it on Monday, preventing it from coming into play until the 2017 season.
On March 8, the devices were approved for use in press boxes and locker rooms. However, all three divisions of college football deemed that more time was needed to for guidelines, cost management and to assess unintended consequences.
The devices will not be allowed on the sidelines, in the team areas or on the field.
