The NCAA Transformation committee released a final report Tuesday that recommends the NCAA Championship Tournaments should expand to include 25% of teams. The report will go to the Division I board of directors for consideration at the 2023 NCAA convention in San Antonio next week, according to a report from Ross Dellenger.

This would especially affect the NCAA Men’s and Women’s basketball tournament’s, which would expand to around 90 teams were this to be set. It’s important to note this is not a final decision, as expanding the tournaments would ultimately be left to each individual sports’ group/oversight committee.

The full 40-page report can be viewed here.

Many in the basketball world vehemently oppose expansion of any kind to the NCAA Tournament. Do you think expansion is a bad or good idea?
