To say it’s been a rough year for the Nebraska football program would be an understatement.

The Cornhuskers are just 3-6 on the season and trail Michigan 17-3 at halftime on Saturday.

The Nebraska program also saw head coach Scott Frost fired earlier in the season after he compiled a 16-31 overall mark in 4-plus years on the job.

During the 1st half against the Wolverines on Saturday, a Cornhuskers assistant was the victim of a violent sideline collision.

Offensive coordinator Mark Whipple got blasted by Michigan’s AJ Henning, as can be seen in the tweet below:

It remains to be seen if Whipple sustained any serious damage on the play. But a season of pain for the Cornhuskers continues.
