For 56 years in a row, the Nebraska Cornhuskers have sent at least one player to the NFL ranks via the NFL Draft.

However, that streak came to an end this weekend in Nashville, as not a single Cornhusker heard his name called over the three-day event.

The streak appeared to be in danger last year, but then QB Tanner Lee heard his name called in the sixth round of the 2018 Draft.

This year, though, no Cornhuskers were chosen, but that streak should start anew in the coming years. Scott Frost is at the helm of the program, and he’s trying to turn things around in Lincoln.

Per Reddit, the Huskers’ streak of having at least two players chosen in every draft ended after 54 years back in 2017.
