Alabama WR Jaylen Waddle is fast. Everyone who knows SEC football knows that for a fact.
He was the only Alabama player who could keep up with Henry Ruggs III last year, and this year, his speed will be featured heavily in the Crimson Tide offense.
As you can see below, new Alabama strength and conditioning coach Matt Rhea took to Twitter on Saturday to rave about Waddle’s speed. He said he’s never seen speed like Waddle’s over 20 yards:
You all know Jaylen is fast, but in the first 20 yards, I have never ever EVER seen speed data like @D1__JW.

The 40-yard dash is what is frequently measured, but 20-yard speed can be useful over shorter routes on a football field.
Can Waddle use his speed to have a big year in 2020? He has the versatility and the skills. We’ll see how new starting QB Mac Jones utilizes him this fall.
