SEC set a new conference attendance record in 2015

Who says television is killing the college football game day experience?

According to numbers released by the NCAA on Monday, the SEC set a new all-time conference attendance record by averaging 78,630 fans per home game.

It was the 18th consecutive season that the SEC has had the highest number of fans in attendance, and the 2015 numbers broke the previous record set by the SEC in 2014 (77,694).

The SEC finished comfortably ahead of the other four Power 5 Conferences:

  • Big Ten (66,008)
  • Big 12 (57,347)
  • Pac-12 (51,880)
  • ACC (49,033)

According to the report, here are the Top 10 individual schools:
