Ed Orgeron is one of a couple LSU assistants set to enjoy a substantial raise in his second season with LSU.
It was announced earlier this month that he would be in line for a raise after he accepted the recruiting coordinator responsibilities left behind by former assistant Frank Wilson when he became the UTSA head coach.
On Wednesday, NOLA.com’s Jim Kleinpeter confirmed the figures on Orgeron’s new contract.
He will receive a $150,000 raise as a part of a two-year extension, pushing his annual pay up to $600,000 per season.
Meanwhile, offensive coordinator Cam Cameron is reported to be taking a $300,000 pay cut in annual salary as part of his extension with the Tigers, which was also announced earlier this month.
His three-year extension will pay him $1.2 million per season, according to Kleinpeter. Cameron made $1.5 million in 2015.
Some other figures for LSU assistant contracts reported on Wednesday:
- New WR coach Dameyune Craig will make $550,000 annually on a two-year deal.
- New RB coach Jabbar Juluke will make $265,000 annually on a two-year deal.
- OL coach Jeff Grimes received a $125,000 raise, bumping his pay to $525,000 per year. His contract was also extended through 2017.
All of these contracts are subject to approval, which is expected to happen at a meeting on Friday.
