It’s been a rollercoaster for 2018 quarterback prospect Matt Corral, who committed to Florida four months ago.
When the 5-star prospect from Long Beach, Calif., committed to Florida, he said, “Let’s do something special,” he was ranked the No. 7 overall prospect in the 2018 class, higher than Jeff Driskel (No. 32), Cam Newton (No. 28), Chris Leak (26) and Tim Tebow (No. 22).
On Thursday, a picture circulated with Corral and new Florida assistant coach Billy Gonzalez, who visited the recruit’s high school.
Corral is ranked the third-ranked pro-style passer in this class, according to 247 Sports, and the 40th-ranked player in the country. He’s among 15 current commits in the Florida class of 2018.
He reportedly has nine offers, and was one of the first Florida commits to tweet that the class would stay together despite the coaching change from Jim McElwain to Dan Mullen.
