New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson passes away at age of 90

New Orleans Saints owner Tom Benson has been in the news a lot lately as his health has started to fail, and sadly, on Thursday, he passed away at the age of 90.
According to a tweet from the Saints, he died at the Ochsner Medical Center with his wife, Gayle, by his side.
Benson has owned the Saints since 1985 and has owned the NBA’s New Orleans Pelicans since 2012:

Benson had been hospitalized due to the flu for nearly a month, but was never able to recover. The New Orleans native became a self-made billionaire through his car dealership and banking businesses.
Details regarding his funeral services have not been disclosed at this time.
