The NFL is filled with former Alabama players, but one of the best among them won’t be able to finish this season.

New York Giants safety Landon Collins will miss the remainder of the year after suffering a shoulder injury, according to a report from Giants beat writer Ralph Vacchiano. Collins tore his labrum in the team’s 30-27 victory against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

The 2015 second-round draft pick closes the year with four passes defensed, one forced fumble and no interceptions. Collins, who played for the Crimson Tide from 2012-14, had 96 tackles and five tackles for loss through 12 games this season.

Collins is set to enter free agency this offseason, so he may have recorded his final snap in a Giants uniform.
