NFL rosters must be trimmed to 53 by this weekend, which has led to many surprising cuts thus far.

On Saturday, the New York Jets made one of the more surprising cuts of the fall, releasing former Alabama CB Dee Milliner.

Milliner was a two-time national champion with the Crimson Tide and was the No. 9 overall pick by the Jets in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Milliner recorded 63 tackles and three interceptions in his three seasons with the Jets.
