Aaron Rodgers reportedly wants Green Bay to bring back former Kentucky star Randall Cobb
Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb shared a locker room for eight seasons in Green Bay. Extending that number to nine seasons could dictate whether the reigning NFL MVP returns to the Packers this season.
As strange as that sounds, that’s the latest from former ESPN SportsCenter host, Trey Wingo.
Before you discredit Wingo’s reporting, keep in mind that Rodgers’ only media appearance since the NFL Draft — when it was reported that he wanted to be traded from the Packers — came on Wingo’s final SportsCenter show.
Clearly, the two are close.
“Hearing Rodgers coming back to GB hinging on trading for former teammate Randall Cobb. If Cobb is in Green Bay it looks like Rodgers will be too,” Wingo shared on Monday.
Cobb last played for Green Bay back in 2018. Since then, he’s played in Dallas and Houston.
During their time together in Green Bay, Cobb caught 470 passes for 5,524 yards and 41 touchdowns.
Backing up Wingo’s report, former Green Bay linebacker AJ Hawk said that Rodgers “absolutely” wants to play with Cobb again.
