Justin Fields seems to be just showing off now.
The nation’s No. 1 dual-threat QB could turn out to be the top overall prospect before the final recruiting rankings are released prior to National Signing Day. Fields currently ranks No. 3 overall entering July, but exiting Nike’s ‘The Opening’ camp going on right now, he could emerge even higher.
NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah is at the event, and Fields has been the most impressive player thus far.
I'm out here at the NIKE Opening watching the top HS football players in the country. QB Justin Fields has been most impressive player.

The Kennesaw, Georgia, native Fields stands 6-foot-3, 221 pounds, and he’s coveted by every major program in the country. He decommitted from Penn State in early June, and he’s already visited Georgia, Auburn, Florida State and Florida. Those four, along with Alabama, seem to be creating the most buzz entering the summer. It’s going to be a fun recruiting battle to see which team can ultimately sign Fields.
Currently, 5-star Clemson QB commit Trevor Lawrence is the top-rated player in the country, but Fields has been turning heads. Ironically, Fields and Lawrence are both from the state of Georgia.
After watching an hour of Fields vs Lawrence, this debate will be fun to watch. Fields won this round, but Lawrence has time to turn it up.
