After appearing in two games last season for the Houston Texans, A.J. McCarron is packing up his bags and headed to a new city.

Following the first round of the 2021 NFL Draft, McCarron has just been signed by the Atlanta Falcons, the team announced on Friday. McCarron’s deal with the Falcons is for one year.

During his NFL career, McCarron has completed slightly over 62 percent of his passes (109-of-174) for 1,173 yards with six touchdowns and three interceptions.

Prior to Alabama’s recent run of incredible passers, McCarron was considered by many to be the best quarterback for Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa. During his four seasons in Titletown, McCarron threw for 9,019 yards with 77 touchdowns and just 15 interceptions.

The Crimson Tide won two national championships during McCarron’s time as the starting quarterback in Tuscaloosa.
