NFL announces 2021 draft will return to live event, host fans and prospects
The 2021 NFL Draft will be a return to business for the league.
Following last season’s virtual draft, the league has just announced the 2021 NFL Draft will be hosted live in Cleveland and will be open to fans and prospects to attend.
The 2021 NFL Draft is set to take place on April 29 through May 1 with the draft stage being set on Lake Erie.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will be at the draft to announce all the first-round picks — and to be booed by the fans in attendance.
“We are thrilled to be heading to Cleveland for the NFL Draft, which has become one of the most highly anticipated events in sports,” said Peter O’Reilly, NFL executive vice president, club business and league events. “Just months after executing a safe and successful Super Bowl LV, we look forward to bringing the excitement of our Draft traditions to fans in collaboration with the Browns, Destination Cleveland, Greater Cleveland Sports Commission, the City of Cleveland, and all of our local Cleveland partners.”
The upcoming draft is set to be broadcast by ABC, ESPN and the NFL Network. Full broadcast information will be provided at a later date.
