The record for most first-round picks in a single NFL Draft is 12, and it has been reached three times — by the ACC in 2006 and the SEC in 2013 and 2017.

Heading into the 2019 NFL Draft, though, the SEC could break that record if all goes well this fall.

According to NFLDraftScout.com’s Rob Rang, there could be 14 SEC players chosen in the first round of next year’s draft. Here are the 14 players in the top 32 prospects on Rang’s current big board.

  • No. 3 — Raekwon Davis, DL, Alabama
  • No. 6 — Jonah Williams, OL, Alabama
  • No. 8 — Greedy Williams, DB, LSU
  • No. 9 — Devin White, LB, LSU
  • No. 12 — Deandre Baker, DB, Georgia
  • No. 14 — Jeffery Simmons, DL, Mississippi State
  • No. 16 — Deebo Samuel, WR, South Carolina
  • No. 17 — Drew Lock, QB, Mizzou
  • No. 18 — AJ Brown, WR, Ole Miss
  • No. 19 — Greg Little, OL, Ole Miss
  • No. 21 — Elgton Jenkins, OL, Mississippi State
  • No. 22 — Jarrett Stidham, QB, Auburn
  • No. 23 — Chauncey Gardner, DB, Florida
  • No. 26 — D.K. Metcalf, WR, Ole Miss

Obviously, it’s still early, but these players are all certainly capable of going in Round 1. We’ll have to see how the 2018 season plays out, though.
