NFL draft sixth-round wrap: Arkansas, Miss. St. add to SEC’s impressive total

No wonder the SEC’s Western Division was so downright dominant from top to bottom last season.
Arkansas and Mississippi State represented six of the league’s eight sixth-round picks (or late-round steals) on Saturday, pushing the SEC’s total to 46 entering the final round.
Arkansas tight end A.J. Derby joined defensive starters Tevin Mitchell and Darius Philon as sixth-round selections along with Mississippi State’s Matthew Wells, Malcolm Johnson and Josh Robinson.
The St. Louis Rams added a much-needed piece in the passing game at No. 201 overall in Mizzou’s Bud Sasser while the Indianapolis Colts grabbed Georgia linebacker Amarlo Herrera toward the end of the round.
Herrera is Georgia’s fifth selection of this year’s draft.
