Former Aggie All-American Jace Sternberger will start the NFL season suspended without pay

We have some unfortunate news to share from Green Bay as tight end Jace Sternberger has been suspended, without pay, to start the coming NFL season.
Last season, Sternberger appeared in 12 games for the Packers but did not start for the team. He caught 12 passes for 114 yards and scored one touchdown during the latest NFL season.
News of Sternberger’s suspension was first reported by NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport.
“Jace Sternberger is suspended without pay for the first two games of the 2021 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program on Substances of Abuse. He is eligible to return to the Packers’ active roster on Tuesday, Sept. 21, following Week 2 vs. Detroit,” Rapoport reported on Thursday.
Sternberger was a consensus All-American during his only season at Texas A&M back in 2018. That season, the Aggie caught 47 passes for 804 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Prior to his lone season in College Station, Sternberger played for Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Kansas.
Green Bay selected Sternberger in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.
