Joe Burrow will reportedly be ready to play for the Bengals in the 2021 season opener
Great news to share regarding Joe Burrow’s status for the upcoming season opener as the Bengals franchise quarterback will reportedly be good to go the next time Cincinnati takes the field for a meaningful game.
The Bengals are set to take the field for the 2021 NFL season opener on Sept. 12 against the Minnesota Vikings and Burrow will apparently be able to take the field with his teammates for the first game of the season.
Burrow started the first 10 games of his NFL career before suffering a season-ending injury against Washington last fall.
“Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow, who underwent reconstructive left knee surgery in December, is ‘all systems go’ for the Sept. 12 regular-season opener against the Minnesota Vikings, according to Dr. Neal ElAttrache of Kerlan-Jobe in Los Angeles,” ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter reported on Tuesday.
This is obviously great news for the Heisman Trophy winner from LSU but it sounds like that was Burrow’s plan all along.
“I’m expecting to play game one,” Burrow recently said on the Cris Collinsworth Podcast.
Now that looks to have taken one step closer to being official.
