One of Minnesota’s best players was injured at practice on Friday as second-year receiver Justin Jefferson had to leave the field after suffering what appeared to be an arm injury.
Jefferson did not return to practice following the injury.
The good news is Jefferson’s injury may not be significant as ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter is reporting that the receiver suffered a “sprained AC joint,” but he did note further tested will be required.
During his rookie season in the NFL, Jefferson caught 88 passes for 1,400 yards and had seven touchdowns in 14 games.
The Vikings selected Jefferson in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft.
Here is a video of the play that resulted in Jefferson’s injury.
Better video of the Justin Jefferson injury at practice. He lands hard on his left shoulder and is in obvious pain. Not what you want to see.
