One day after being released by the Detroit Lions, Kerryon Johnson has already landed on a new NFL team.

The former second-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft has rushed for 1,225 yards and eight touchdowns in his three seasons with the Lions but the team made the surprising decision to release the former standout Auburn running back on Thursday.

On Friday, the Philadelphia Eagles refused to let Johnson go without a roster spot as the Eagles swooped in to claim the running back on waivers.

Following this news, the locker room in Philadelphia should be pretty interesting this fall as Johnson will be reunited with former teammates Jack Driscoll and Arryn Siposs while former Alabama alums Jalen Hurts, DeVonta Smith, Landon Dickerson and Ross Pierschbacher are all on the same team.

The betting in that locker room come the next Iron Bowl should be interesting.
