The Cleveland Browns were 2-5 coming into their Week 9 matchup with the Denver Broncos, and it seems as though they have been in the spotlight with non-football related news every other week.

Whether it’s Baker Mayfield snapping at a reporter, or the NFL putting a lid on Odell Beckham Jr’s fashion statements, the season has not panned out in the way that Browns fans hoped with all of the preseason hype.

The trend continued into Sunday, as Beckham and Landry couldn’t even make it through the entire game before being forced to change out their cleats.

The NFL ordered both former LSU wideouts to change their uniquely designed cleats at halftime of the Broncos game, threatening ejection if they do not comply.

It’s certainly not the first time Beckham has made headlines for his accessories during a game, as he got into trouble for wearing a watch during the Browns’ season-opening loss to the Tennessee Titans.

The combination of Beckham and Landry along with Baker Mayfield and Nick Chubb has not produced the offensive fireworks that many expected this season, but the group has found creative ways of making headlines for anything not having to do with football.
