NFL Mock Draft 2023: Yahoo analyst Charles McDonald projects 13 SEC stars to go in Round 1

With the college football season halfway over, we’re starting to learn which prospects are among the most coveted players for NFL teams.

On Wednesday, Yahoo analyst Charles McDonald released his 2023 NFL Mock Draft, and he had 13 SEC standouts going in Round 1.

As you can see below, Will Anderson Jr. of Alabama leads the way at No. 2 overall, 1 of 4 Crimson Tide players projected to go in the first 32 picks. Georgia also has 4 projected first-round picks:

  • No. 2 — Will Anderson Jr., Edge, Alabama — Las Vegas Raiders
  • No. 3 — Bryce Young, QB, Alabama — Detroit Lions
  • No. 4 — Jalen Carter, DL, Georgia — Houston Texans
  • No. 6 — Will Levis, QB, Kentucky — Houston Texans
  • No. 7 — Kelee Ringo, CB, Georgia — Seattle Seahawks
  • No. 14 — Anthony Richardson, QB, Florida — Seattle Seahawks
  • No. 18 — Kayshon Boutte, WR, LSU — Green Bay Packers
  • No. 19 — Broderick Jones, OL, Georgia — Miami Dolphins
  • No. 22 — Cam Smith, CB, South Carolina — Detroit Lions
  • No. 23 — Antonio Johnson, S, Texas A&M — Indianapolis Colts
  • No. 24 — Nolan Smith, Edge, Georgia — Tennessee Titans
  • No. 30 — Eli Ricks, CB, Alabama — Minnesota Vikings
  • No. 32 — Jahmyr Gibbs, RB, Alabama — Philadelphia Eagles
