One of the best fullbacks to ever come out of South Carolina is ready to hang up his cleats.
After eight seasons in the NFL, Patrick DiMarco announced his retirement from the league on Thursday.
While he most recently suited up for the Buffalo Bills, DiMarco was the fullback for the Atlanta Falcons for four seasons. During the 2015 season, DiMarco was named All-Pro.
During his time in the NFL, DiMarco appeared in 115 games. While his primary objective on the field was to clear space for running backs to find success on the ground, DiMarco was also a threat to catch the ball out of the backfield during his career.
He registered 52 catches, 404 yards and four touchdowns during his time in the NFL after rushing for 302 yards and six touchdowns during his college career in Columbia.
