Keith Ford’s stay with the Indianapolis Colts did not last long. The Green Bay Packers announced Tuesday that they have picked up the former Texas A&M running back off of a waivers claim.

Less than two weeks ago, the Colts added Ford to their 90-man training camp roster. Last season, Ford played for the Buffalo Bills. He spent the first part of the 2018 NFL season on Buffalo’s practice squad, but was signed to the active roster on Dec. 12, 2018 and played in two Bills games, recording 79 rushing yards on 21 carries and 21 receiving yards on three catches.

Ford played for two years at Texas A&M after transferring from Oklahoma. In two seasons with the Aggies, he ran for 1,217 yards and 18 touchdowns.

As his brief stint with the Colts shows, it’s too early to tell if he’ll be in Green Bay for the rest of training camp and the 2019 season. For now, however, he’s No. 27 on the Packers roster.
