Former Georgia K Blair Walsh is reportedly getting another NFL opportunity.
The New York Daily News reports that the New York Jets will tryout Walsh. The Jets are looking at available kickers after placekicker Chandler Catanzaro missed two extra points in a recent preseason game.
Walsh last played in the 2017 season. The free agent made 82.4 percent of his field goals during his six seasons (2012-17) in the NFL. In his last two seasons (2016-17), however, Walsh made only 73.3 percent of his field goals. As a rookie in 2012, Walsh earned All-Pro honors and was selected to the Pro Bowl.
Walsh played at Georgia under Mark Richt from 2008-11.
