It’s official, Tim Tebow is a member of the Jaguars as his college coach pulled some strings and added the Heisman Trophy winner to the roster in Jacksonville.

This decision comes despite Tebow not setting foot on an NFL field since 2012 and the former quarterback switching to a new position (tight end) this offseason in Jacksonville.

“I want to thank the Jaguars for the opportunity to compete and earn the chance to be part of this team. I know it will be a challenge, but it is a challenge I embrace,” Tebow said via a released statement.

“I am dedicated to taking the direction of our coaching staff and learning from my teammates. I appreciate everyone’s support as I embark on this new journey.”
