So far during his NFL career, Derrius Guice has had a rough go of it.

Hopefully, that all changes this fall as the second-round pick from the 2018 NFL Draft has announced he’s “cleared for 2020,” with Washington’s upcoming training camp set to begin.

Guice missed his entire rookie season after tearing his ACL in the preseason only to get injured during the first game of his sophomore NFL season in 2019.

In total, the former LSU standout has played in five NFL games. During that time, he’s rushed for 245 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

While he had to share a backfield with Leonard Fournette during a part of his LSU career, Guice managed to rush for 3,074 yards and 29 touchdowns with most of that production coming in just two seasons of play.

He’s flashed that level of production during his brief NFL career and if he can just stay healthy in 2020, the Washington Football Team may finally get rewarded for drafting one of the nation’s most explosive runners early in the 2018 NFL Draft.
