The SEC has long been a conference that produces great running backs and defensive players who experience successful NFL careers.

The NFL’s top three receiving leaders at the midway point of the season — Cincinnati’s A.J. Green, Atlanta’s Julio Jones and Oakland’s Amari Cooper — all hail from the SEC.
Green played at Georgia from 2008-2010, while Alabama’s Julio Jones and Amari Cooper entered the NFL in 2011 and 2015, respectively. For a conference that always recruits top-end athletes, it’s no surprise to see former SEC receivers flourishing in the NFL.
