Nice problem to have: Alabama working to accommodate 2017, future titles on Walk of Champions

Back in 2006, the University of Alabama didn’t see Nick Saban’s decade of dominance coming.
It was that year that the stretch of bricks in the north plaza of Bryant-Denny Stadium, a path which leads to Alabama’s locker rooms, was dubbed the Walk of Champions. The Crimson Tide’s latest national championship has created a unique “problem”: the Walk of Champions is running out of room.
As explained by AL.com’s Michael Casagrande, currently 16 title teams are commemorated every 12 feet on the walk.

As it stands right now, there’s no room to honor the 2017 title team. A university spokesman told Casagrande that room will be created when a plaque that tells the story of the walk will be moved to a nearby wall so that the 2017 title can take its place on the walk.
While the move solves the issue of recognizing the 2017 title, Casagrande points out that any future titles would likely require significant renovation.
We’re sure the folks in Tuscaloosa will figure something out for any future titles.
