Nick Saban has resisted technology as much as possible, but it appears that the Alabama coach has finally broken down and sent some text messages.
Saban recently told Chris Low of ESPN that he’s sent some text messages, and that they’re, “one-liners or 2 liners, not long.” Perhaps more telling is that Saban continues to resist emails, even though he believes, “Technology-wise, I’ve made huge advances.”
He doesn’t plan to move to emails anytime soon: “No, absolutely not!”
Nick Saban admitted to me that he has finally broken down and sent a few text messages. “They’re one-liners or two liners, not long. … So I’m getting there. Technology-wise, I’ve made huge advances.” As for graduating to e-mail? “No, absolutely not!”

This has been an ongoing issue for a couple years, and Saban evidently only added email during the pandemic 2 years ago. What does he do with emails? Two years ago, he told Dan Patrick that when he receives an email, he calls the person back.
Nick Saban told us he has never sent an email in his life.
He has also never sent a text.
