Two Alabama running backs were held out of the team’s scrimmage on Saturday, the first of two scrimmages in preseason camp.
Coach Nick Saban said running backs Josh Jacobs and Najee Harris did not practice.
“(Jacobs) got a pulled ham(string). He may be out several days, I don’t know how long,” Saban said. “Those things are difficult to determine. Najee Harris has a slight pull. He’s be back probably on Monday.”
Jacobs tweeted this afternoon his reaction to the injury.

Jacobs and Harris are expected to be among the deep Alabama backfield this season, which includes five players. Bo Scarbrough, Damien Harris and Brian Robinson are the others in the mix.
Harris is a 5-star prospect who was among the top-rated players in the country in the most recent recruiting class. Jacobs rushed for 564 yards and four touchdowns on 86 carries as a freshman last season. He also had 166 receiving yards.
