For the most part, Alabama took care of business Saturday night in Tuscaloosa. For the most part.

Saturday just so happened to be Nick Saban’s 69th birthday and the Crimson Tide delivered a great showing, beating Mississippi State 41-0 in the game.

It was a nearly flawless performance but anything short of perfection is going to cause Saban some angst, even on his birthday.

Late in the game, defensive lineman Tim Smith was called for a 5-yard offside penalty.

Keep in mind the Tide was up 41-0 at the time.

Saban’s reaction, while it may be a bit harsh, is just the latest example that Alabama’s coach never eases up until the game clock strikes zero.
