Nick Saban at halftime was happy that Alabama was not down even more against Ole Miss. After all, Alabama gave the Rebels plenty of chances to build a bigger lead.
It was a calamity of errors for Alabama, from a drive that had negative 22 yards, to an interception, and 4 sacks. Ole Miss also struggled, and had a missed field goal attempt late.
Saban summarized it all on CBS Sports on his way to the locker room.
“To me, for all the mistakes that we’ve made, we’re fortunate to be 7-6,” Saban said, “So we’ve got to get things straightened out here at halftime and hopefully play a little bit better and not shoot ourselves in the foot so much.”
Overall, Alabama was 4-for-9 on 3rd down, and gave up 9 tackles for a loss. The offensive line struggled for Alabama as the Tide had just 24 yards on 22 carries.
Jalen Milroe was 11-for-14 passing for 93 yards and the interception, and was active in the ground game, but mustered just 11 carries for 12 yards.
