Nick Saban back would help Alabama? College GameDay’s Chris ‘Bear’ Fallica explains why it may actually help Georgia

Alabama coach Nick Saban tested positive for COVID-19 this week, but there’s still a chance he could coach on Saturday night against Georgia.
Saban tested positive on Wednesday, but has since tested negative on Thursday and Friday. Now, he awaits Saturday’s test results. If it’s negative, he could coach Saturday.
That’s good news for Alabama, right? Well, as Lee Corso would say, not so fast my friend! On Saturday’s College GameDay, Chris “Bear” Fallica said it might actually be a good thing for Georgia.
“I actually have a little different take on it,” he said. “I think Nick Saban coaching in the game is good for Georgia. I think if there was no Nick Saban, I think the pressure all would have been on Georgia. Look at the way they’ve lost the last couple of meetings, couldn’t get over the hump. Now, if Coach Saban weren’t on the sideline, you come here, you lose, like, what kind of confidence would you have that you could get them with Nick Saban on the sideline in the SEC Championship Game? I think if Nick Saban’s test is negative today and he coaches, I think that’s good for Georgia because it’s like, OK, game on, we’re both at full strength.”
That’s an interesting way to look at things. Will Georgia play like a team with no pressure on it? Tune in to CBS on Saturday night at 8 p.m. Eastern to find out.
