Alabama was hit hard this weekend with the tragic news that former Crimson Tide and Green Bay Packer legend Bart Starr had passed as well as Rod and Paula Bramblett following a car accident.
Starr was 85 years old while Rod Bramblett was 52 and Paula Bramblett was 53.
During his Tuesday appearance at the 2019 SEC spring meetings from Destin, Florida, Nick Saban shared his thoughts on the unfortunate news.
“Thoughts and prayers are with the Bart Starr family with his passing and also Rod and Paula Bramblett from the Auburn family,” Saban said. “Some tragic news for all us from Alabama with some people who had a significant impact on the sports tradition in Alabama for a long, long time.”
