Nick Saban comments on tragic passing of Mississippi State OL Sam Westmoreland

Ahead of Alabama’s game against No. 24 Mississippi State, Nick Saban took time to comment on the passing of Bulldogs freshman offensive lineman Sam Westmoreland. The Bulldogs offensive lineman was just 18 years old.
Saban: “We’re really saddened to hear the passing of one of Mississippi State’s players, Sam Westmoreland. … This is terrible that a young person is not gonna be able to enjoy a successful life.”

Truly a tragedy at such a young age. The school has not yet released a cause of death as the investigation into the walk-on’s untimely passing is still being investigated.
